Electrolux Professional will take part in Barcolana 2014, the prestigious international sailing regatta which will take place in Trieste from the 9th-11th October. Definitely not with a sailing boat, but with a totally new contraption: the Electrolux mobile kitchen, a fully functioning professional kitchen “on wheels” with the best equipment available that has been kitted out on the inside of a truck about 14 meters long and 8 meters wide, which you can see into from the outside thanks to its glass walls and equipped with best-in-class equipment.
On board you can find the best technology from Electrolux:
thermaline, the made in Switzerland cookery line, designed for high production kitchens;
air-o-system, the cook&chill system composed of the combi air-o-steam Touchline oven and the air-o-chill blast chiller;
ecostore: the range of high performance fridge units with minimal energy consumptions;
green&clean: the dishwashers chosen by Legambiente for the lowest water consumption (and therefore energy consumption, detergent and dishwasher powder), which allows the running costs to be lowered.
Training sessions directed by the Electrolux Chef Academy in collaboration with the Associazione Cuochi Trieste (the Trieste Association of Chefs) will be organized on board the Electrolux mobile kitchen. Every day at 10, 11, 16 and 19 hours local chefs will take it in turns to deliver the sessions in the Electrolux mobile kitchen. Emilio Cuk, master chef and president of the Associazione Cuochi Trieste, will open on Thursday, followed by Sergio Jugovaz of the “Al nuovo antico pavone” restaurant, Luca Gioiello of the restaurant “Arcoriccardo” and Sebastiano Scaggiante of the “Eppinger” bakery. Friday will be the turn of Ezio Zanon of the Scuola Albergheria, Michele Grandi of the restaurant “Pepenero Pepebianco”, Andrea Latin of the “Pescheria Tognon” and Germano Pontoni, master chef and president of the Associazione Cuochi Trieste. Saturday daytime it will be opened by Roberto Ubaldini of the “Ego” restaurant and he will be followed by Marco Pavel of the “Posta” restaurant, Daniele Valmarin of the “Hosteria Ai tre magnoni” and Sergio Mian, master chef. On Sunday the 12th of October, the Electrolux mobile kitchen will host an Italian television programme called “Dalle malghe al mare FVG”, which is already on air Italy. The main players in this event will be the most famous TV gastronomy butcher, Fabrizio Nonis, and the multi-starred chef Emanuele Scarello of the restaurant “Agli Amici di Godia” (UD). The events of the day will be broadcast by 3 showcooking and it is definitely not to be missed, showing at 12.00, 14.30 and 16.30.
